What can we say about the EM325C? The choice of some of Ireland's finest musicians, the EM325C is a hearty strummer unplugged, and outstanding when plugged in. The neck shape will appeal to a broad range of players, and features the AP5 preamp, widely regarded as the finest pickup system in the world, which allows players greater tonal control thanks to a sculpted frequency curve, designed to perfectly complement your guitar's acoustic tone. It features a sweepable mid range between 1 and 2kHz, "Soft Start" circuitry and low battery indicator. We're all big fans of this instrument at DGC.

A terrific small body from the Maton 808 series. The EBG808CL-W features a solid Queensland Bunya top, Queensland walnut back and sides, and the legendary Maton AP5 pickup system. This guitar is a beautiful acoustic picker, and can go from soft picking to traditional Irish strumming with ease when plugged in.

The EBG808 features a "AA" grade solid sitka spruce top and solid Victorian blackwood back and sides. Absolutely stunning guitar finished in satin lacquer. It features the legendary AP5 system onboard for amazingly natural tones when plugged in. A firm favourite of DGC manager Dave. The acoustic sound of the EBG808 is fantastic, and it records "like a 1940's Martin" according to one staff member. Plugged in, it does what Matons are supposed to do plugged in. It sounds immense.

EBG808-TE Tommy Emmanuel Signature
Good enough for Tommy, good enough for us. The man himself told us at length why he chooses Maton guitars, and the 808 in particular, and we can't find fault. Wonderful acoustically, with an amazingly balanced plugged in sound, you'd swear this guitar had a built in studio quality compressor. The clarity across all six strings is phenomenal. The Maton AP5 is accented with a microphone as per Tommy's request, and the mic can be blended into the sound via the preamp. Chosen as the go-to guitar by a man widely regarded as the best acoustic player in the world, this is worth trying.
